Ecclesiastical Insurance celebrate 125 years by giving time and money to Art shape

Staff from Ecclesiastical Insurance will join Art Shape this week to help create a backdrop and sculptures to decorate the main stage and the site of the Hullabaloo Festival.

Creative work on the backdrop for the main stage, flags and banners for the acoustic performance tent will take place at Art Shape’s office in Brockworth, Gloucester on Tuesday 25th April in preparation for the Hullaballoo Festival, a celebration of Gloucestershire culture, music, food, art and crafts that will take place over the Diamond Jubilee Weekend, Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd and Bank Holiday Monday 4th of June this summer.

As a charity Art Shape rely on the support of volunteers to achieve its aims of promoting equality of access to the arts and encouraging adults in their personal and professional artistic development regardless of the barriers they may face. Donations of this kind from local or national companies is critical to achieving our aims in the current climate of cuts from central government and the regular funding organisations Art Shape have relied on in the past.

“It’s great that Ecclesiastical have decided to celebrate their 125th year by sharing their staff and a donation of £125 for each member of  staff who volunteered, to help towards Art Shape’s involvement in the festival. We welcome the support and contribution of both the company and the individual staff who chose to participate.
The Festival will be a great opportunity for the whole community to access arts, crafts and music in a family friendly setting. Art Shape will be especially working to help our students to overcome accessibility issues to engage in the arts and enjoy the event along with everybody else”  - Harriet West
