Surf for funding for local arts charity

As you know if you've found this blog through our website, Art Shape is a local charity that provides arts opportunities for people in Gloucestershire who would otherwise miss out on the chance to benefit from the improved well-being participating in the arts can bring. These opportunities are funded by putting bids in for grants from providers like the Big Lottery, Summerfield Charitable Trust, Barnwood Trust, Allen Lane Foundation and Local Councils.
We are currently offering the opportunity for a volunteer to get involved with Art Shape by researching grants and funding opportunities and data inputting the results one day a week. Your travel by public transport (or mileage) and a lunch allowance for each full day at the office in Brockworth will be provided.
This opportunity to volunteer would be ongoing but people usually find a paid job and eventually they move on. Whether because they have gained confidence, a good reference or just made new contacts. That is just the nature of volunteering.
“Through volunteering at Art Shape I have progressed into full time, paid employment” -Fiona Nevada
“It’s opened my eyes as to what sort of work I could do” - Gordon Close
“… volunteering with Art Shape has opened so many doors for me, and for that I can not thank the team enough.” – Wayne Baker
If this opportunity interests you please contact Harriet West to arrange an interview.
