Cheltenham Connections Daytime Concert Continues October 26

Cheltenham Connections Daytime Concerts have been held at the Cheltenham Town Hall Pillar Room and are aimed at presenting good quality musical entertainment for those who may have difficulty attending evening events. Access equals inclusion so these concerts are open to disabled and non-disabled participants. Disabled and older people are particularly welcome and it may be possible to arrange transport for wheelchair users within the Cheltenham area.

These concerts have been, until recently, booked to capacity every time by local day centres in the county and their service users and this has made the concerts self sustaining. They are supported by Art Shape and while they have been popular over the last 20 years they never existed to make a profit.

With the closure of many Day Centres the number of people attending the concerts was reduced considerably.
Following the response to the last press release from Art Shape and an interview with David Smith on BBC Radio Gloucestershire lamenting the possible demise of the concerts due to poor attendance, the concert in June saw attendance figures swell to near capacity once again.

We are pleased to announce the continuation of this established, well loved and lively event with the next concert on Friday, October 26th 2012 at Cheltenham Town Hall Pillar Room from 11.15 am - 1 pm featuring Itchy Feet’…
